Lenovo K12 and K12 Pro Budget Smartphones Launched in China – A Higher End Budget Smartphone
Lenovo K12 and K12 Pro have been launched in China. Both smartphones are budget-oriented and were launched on December 9, 2020. Lenovo K12 comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD with a water-drop notch that supports an 8MP Selfie camera lens. On the other hand, Lenovo K12 Pro flaunts a bigger 6.8-inch HD+ Max vision display with a punch-hole cut out that supports a 16MP sensor for selfie clicks. Both Lenovo K12 and Lenovo K12 Pro look more in common with E7 Plus and MotoG9 Power, respectively, both of which were announced in Europe last month.
As far as the battery is concerned, Lenovo K12 is packed with a 5000mAh battery, which can last a full day for a heavy user. In contrast, on the other hand, Lenovo K12 Pro is packed with a slightly bigger 6000mAh battery, which definitely guarantees the long-lasting working capability of your phone.
When it comes to power and performance, Lenovo has decided to go with Snapdragon 460 SoC and Adreno 610 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage that is further expandable via microSD card for its K12 model. However, in K12 Pro, the company has decided to use the latest Snapdragon 662 SoC and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage that is further expandable (512GB) via microSD card. Both the phones run on the Android 10 Operating system out of the box along with Lenovo custom UI on top. Lenovo K12 weighs in at around 200.00 grams while K12 Pro has a bigger battery than 220.00 grams.
Let’s move onto the cameras; Lenovo K12 has a dual rear camera setup with the primary camera being of 48MP sensor with an LED Flash and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. For selfie lovers, there is an 8MP selfie sensor with no LED to support night shots. Lenovo K12 Pro comprises a triple camera setup with a 64MP primary camera with f/1.79 aperture, a 2MP secondary lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On connectivity and security parameters, Lenovo K12 and Lenovo K12 Pro both come with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone.K12 on connectivity has a 4G, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, and micro-USB port for charging and data sync. In K12 Pro company has added more features to go along with those on K12, more features like NFC, USB Type-C, and everyone’s favorite still use a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Pricing for the Lenovo K12 is set at CNY 799 (Rs 9,000); however, with the initial sales target in mind, you can get it at CNY 699 (roughly Rs 7,900). Lenovo K12 Pro is set at CNY 999 (roughly Rs 11,300), and on sale, you can get it around CNY 899 (roughly Rs 10,200).
