Samsung Galaxy S21 series has been leaked online with its images, specifications, and colors already surfacing on the internet. Here are somethings that we know would surely be there in Galaxy S21.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Specifications
Samsung Galaxy S21 is coming in three variants, namely S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra.
Galaxy S21 is coming in 100% plastic while S21 plus seems to be glass, but various reports suggest the back material of S21 plus feel like the S20 FE and a bit heavier than S20 FE. S21 Ultra is plastic and glass; what we mean by this is the retail units manufactured coming with a plastic back; however, those devices used for testing are made up of glass material. Samsung is yet to decide whether to go for a plastic back or glass back.
S21 is coming with a base variant of 128GB of storage, and another variant comes in 256GB. There is no 512GB variant. S21 Plus is coming with 128GB and 256GB of storage. Galaxy S21 Ultra is the only one coming in three variants of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. The S21 Ultra Korean model will have a base variant of 256GB instead of 128GB that will be launched everywhere else.
Galaxy 21 colors have also been leaked. S21 will be coming in Silver, White, Pink, and Purple, while S21 Plus is coming in Silver, Black, and Purple. S21 Ultra will be coming in just 2 colors Silver and Black.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will have an expandable storage option, thanks to a hybrid sim tray (SIM + microSD). There would be a single sim option in some regions, and in some, there would be a dual sim option available. Germany will be one such country where there would be a dual sim variant available. Asian countries like India would be having 1 SIM plus SD Card option up for availability. S21 is unlikely to have expandable storage support worldwide. There is no rumor available for S21 Plus models. We are awaiting the news as well.
The S21 lineup will be launching with 8GB RAM, while in Korea, there will be a 12GB RAM variant also available.
Geekbench scores for S21 Plus and S21 Ultra are out, and according to them, S21 scored 1084 on single-core and 3555 on multicores. For S21 Ultra, single-core scores are 1105, while the multi-core scores are 3529.
Exynos 2100 SOC in Europe will power the Samsung Galaxy S21 lineup. This will be a 5nm Octa-Core processor where the ultra-high performance core works at 2.9 GHz. Frequencies are mentioned: 1×2.9GHz, 3×2.8GHz, and 4×2.3GHz, whereas Snapdragon 888 SOC will power the USA model. There will be a support of S Pen for the first outside of the Note series by Samsung.
S21 Ultra will be completely flat and smaller with almost identical housing size with the 6.8-inch diagonal screen. The resolution will be extremely high, with 3200×1440 pixels that reach the pixel density of 515 PPI. The screen is kept in a 20:9 aspect ratio. It will be a Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display. This means that the front camera will be a punchhole at the top. S21 Ultra will be having a 120Hz refresh rate and will offer Gorilla Glass 7 protection.
Coming to the cameras, S21 Ultra is expected to feature a multiple lens setup; however, the main focus will be on the primary lens that will be a new 108-megapixel sensor, which has a pixel lens of 0.8 micros and has an OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). The sensor size will be 1/1.33-inch, which is the same as its predecessor Galaxy S20 Ultra but hopefully perform better in delivering quality pictures. The new main sensor is also equipped with a 79-degree wide field of view and an f/1.8 aperture on the paper. There are two more zoom lenses with 10-megapixel resolution, 1.2mm pixel edge length, OIS (optical image stabilization), and 1/3.24-inch sensor size. One zoom lens has a 35-degree field of view and comes with a focal length of 72 millimeters, while the other has a 10-degree field of view that comes with a focal length of 240 millimeters thanks to the periscope optics. Coming to an ultra-wide-angle camera, it would have a 12-megapixel resolution with f/2.2 aperture, a focal length of 13mm, and a 120-degree field of view. There are reports which suggest that there would be 1.4-micrometer sensor pixels also installed, which have their own autofocus. The front camera will have a 40-megapixel sensor with an 80-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture. The report says that it would be capable of shooting 8k UHD videos at 30fps, 4K UHD at 60fps, and 1080p videos at 240fps.
The battery on the S21 Ultra would be 5000mAh, and a fast charger of 45W will be shipped in the box. S21 Ultra, according to many rumors, will be weighing at 228 grams and will be IP68 certified so that it will be waterproof and dustproof. In-display fingerprint sensor scanner, Wireless charging, USB Type-C port. Wi-Fi 6 and 5G rounds of the full package. S21 Series is expected to launch next month.
